Transportation
Thursdays, flexible time. Before 1pm and after 7pm.

Help us out with transporting our Market trailer from it’s home (also in Jericho) to the market site. This requires a vehicle capable of towing the trailer & a bit of experience.

  • Pick up the trailer at its weekday home sometime after 5pm on Wednesday

  • Drop the trailer at the market site sometime before 1pm on Thursday (timing is very flexible)

  • Pick up the trailer after cleanup is complete on Thursday evening (approximately 7:15 pm) and return it

A great task for someone who can volunteer regularly, but the job could be split between multiple folks, either by week or one person doing delivery and another pickup.

Market Office
Thursdays, 2:45-4:30 or 4:30-6:15

Staff the market office & Information booth! Requires attention to detail, discretion & a knack for customer service! 

  • Staff the market office & information booth

  • Answer questions from a variety of community members

  • Help to administer and explain our Food Access Programming & services

  • Run credit cards and other POS systems for the market.

A great task for someone who can volunteer regularly, as there is some training required to familiarize volunteers with our various systems.

General Market Volunteer
Thursdays, 2:45-4:30 or 4:30-6:15

Help with a variety of special projects or activities where we need an extra set of hands.

  • Welcome people to the market & answer questions

  • Help out with special events, such as Kids Day

  • Count customer attendance

  • Help collect market data

  • substitute for POP Club

This a a great role if you can only volunteer now & then, as our needs fluctuate as well!

Setup 
Thursdays, 1:30-3pm

Help us turn an empty field into a Farmers Market each week

  • Assist with setup of tents, signage & other infrastructure for the Market

  • Requires ability to lift & carry 50+ lbs

Cleanup 
Thursdays, 6:30-7:30 

Help take down & pack up signs, tents and other market infrastructure.

  • Requires some physical labor - hauling & carrying signs, taking down tents & lots of walking around.

  • Requires ability to lift & carry 50 lbs

Anytime

Do you have specific skills you can share with us? Have a skill for copywriting? Love to create graphics? Have a knack for electronics or a mechanical issues? Have a knack for grant writing or fundraising? We would love your help!
