Public Facing Roles
Market Office
Thursdays, 2:45-4:30 or 4:30-6:15
Staff the market office & Information booth!
Requires attention to detail, discretion & a knack for customer service!

Answer questions from a variety of community members
Help to administer and explain our Food Access Programming & services
Run credit cards and other POS systems for the market.
A great task for someone who can volunteer regularly, as there is some training required to familiarize volunteers with our various systems.
Greeter

Staff the front gate, count customer attendance
Welcome people to the market

A great task for someone who can volunteer periodically, as we do gate counts about once per month.
POP Club Volunteer
Thursdays, 2:45-4:45 or 4:30-6:30
Help run our POP Club kids programming! Interact with kids & their families at the Market, engage with kids about fresh food, and connect local kids to their communities!
Requires joy in working with kids, a playful demeanor, and interest in getting to know our youngest Farmers Market attendees!
Help kids track their participation
Engage with kids about what they learned through the weekly activity
Distribute POP Bucks to each participant
Keep records around participation

Behind the Scenes
Setup
Thursdays, 1:30-3pm
Assist with setup of tents, signage & other infrastructure for the Market
Requires some physical labor - hauling & driving grade stakes, setting up tents & lots of walking around.
A great task for someone who can volunteer more than one week in a row, as getting used to the setup will make everything go more efficiently
Cleanup
Thursdays, 6:30-7:30
Help take down & pack up signs, tents and other market infrastructure
Requires some physical labor - hauling & carrying grade stakes & signs, taking down tents & lots of walking around.
Photography
Periodically, Thursdays, 3-6:30
Periodically take photographs at the market
Attend the market regularly
Take photographs of the market for publicity purposes
Be willing to share your photos with marketing & publicity team for use
Publicity signage
Weekly, Wednesdays & Fridays
Put out yellow market signs Wednesday midday and take them down Thursday night/early Friday
Requires lifting/carrying somewhat heavy & unwieldy signs
Requires regular & reliable weekly role
Only takes a few minutes!

Anytime
